Can't see the RFU going for this, Not because Argentina aren't good enough (they clearly are), but more from a financial point of view. Yeah, there's a fair amount of Argentinians living in the UK, Italy and France, but is there enough to make it commercially viable?

Oh, I don't know. The plan is to use Barcelona as a base and as interest seems to be growing in Spain I think this may work... if only to increase the impetus in Spain.

Is the 6 Nations not meant for Europe nations?

More to do with the fact that the 6 Nations happen to be in Europe I don't think it's ever been referred to as the EUROPEAN 6 Nations, anyway even if it was they should change it. I'd much rather play Argentina than Wales and Scotland so if they need to reduce the numbers to 6 they can get shot of one of those two.LOL

There is an issue about Argentina staying competitive in a Four-Nations Southern Hemisphere tournament, but surely the way to go is a 6 Nations for the Southern Hemisphere?

Argentina are stronger now than Italy were when they joined the 5 Nations, but getting Japan and the Pacific Islands teams also involved would give everyone a chance of winning and improving.

I'm not really fussed where they play, I think really it should be the Tri Nations but if it's the six nations then I'll just have to have a weekend on the piss in Barcelona, BUT whatever happens they MUST be allowed to join one of the tournaments, They have proved that they are good enough and they deserve it just for beating the French twice on their own turf !!

Here there and everywhere
Not to sure im in favour of this. They shouldnt be allowed into a Northern hemisphere tournement. The Tri-nations is the sensible option here, those countries are nearer to Argentina. It would be a bit silly for the Europeans to travel all the way to buenous aries(spl) for one game. If they played in Spain then wouldnt that hamper the development of Spanish rugby? Also, why should the Argentinian supporters have to travel all the way to a foreign country to watch a "home" international. A non starter imho.
