That is a very young team, would guess that Adam was captain, most of them are still in their teens. Nice to see a good win though, guess we will have a full match report later.

El-Abd was captain.

Severino sprayed some very nice passess about. Whether he can do it against better opposition I don't know. Although potentially a different kind of left winger as opposed to the direct running of Frutos/Jarrett.

Both Severino and Marum aren't wanted by McGhee according to seagulls.co.uk.

:shootself :shootself :shootself :shootself Didn't go today but can tell you that last night Severino looked the only bright player. Few very nice touches and tidy passing as well as a few good crosses.

I thought Servino was poor today.. didn't look to create anything and it was all safe passes... and even they went astray. Thought Marum looked good so it's a a shame he's been disscarded. Revell looked pretty good and Kaz came on at the end (for Revell) and was involved one way or another with about 10 shots in 5 minutes! He looked strong and linked play well.

Was it me or did Hendo look like he'd bulked out a bit?

Lynch looked good for the time he was on, and Cox was full of running for 90 mins...

Safe passes are ok - but Mcghee doesnt seem to like that sort of player or else he would have kept Nicolas.

Mark McGhee this evening revealed that trialists Liam Marum and Dan Severino won't feature any further in the Albion's pre-season preparations.

The duo both played in this afternoon's 5-2 win at Bognor Regis Town - with striker Marum among the scorers - but the Seagulls boss feels that neither player can improve his squad ahead of the new season in League One

Why did Revell come on for about 10 minutes before getting taken off especially as he looked quite bright whilst he was on? He didn't looked particularly happy and seemed to be having a quite heated discussion with McGhee before going back to the changing room.

Servino was ok in the first half but he didn't really stay wide and when he did, he didn't manage to do enough to beat his man before crossing hence most of them were charged down.

Marum looked lively and his goal was a decent solo effort but as McGhee said he is similar to what we already have in the striker department.

Although it was against poor opposition the youngsters looked sharp and we created a lot of chances throughout.

He was taken off because he made the wrong decision as how he took the shot for his near-goal... Dean White was having a go at him from the touch line, telling him to 'think about it' next time - then explaining some move that would make Ronaldinho fall on his arse. Some kids near me were shouting back to Dean 'I'd like you to try that!!'.

Went to the game, some good and bad points

Jakey looked quite lively and much more confident, both his goals were good finishes and showed he may have regained some of his lost confidence.

Also thought Rents looked half decent at left back and Cox had a good game on the right.

The aussie didn't really do anything to warrant a contract...didn't do anything wrong as such but didn't try to make anything happen.... not ever going to wrestle the shirt from Fruity

To be fair, Severino managed a few passes that went forward........

I thought it was obviously because we wanted to give CKR a few minutes and it wouldn't have made any sense to take off the triallist Marum.

Have to say even though he wasn't on for a long time, I was very impressed with Revell again. Not only does he look an intelligent player who times his runs well, but he has a decent first touch and a little bit of trickery and pace too.

Very much looking forward to seeing him play against better standard opposition.

It was a decent run-out for the rest of the young squad members. We started very well and scored a superb first goal, a crisp passing move that started inside our own half and calmly finished by Robinson.

We then conceded a soft goal, one of the full-backs I think messed up the offside trap and the very lively Ben Watson took his chance well.

This goal disorganised us for a while, but towards the end of the half we came strong again amd got two more - a lot of our play came through Cox on the right who outshone the Aussie traillist on the other wing.

Second half we could have got loads, but got two and hit the bar twice, etc.

Revell and CKR played very well. Chamberlain had a good first half. Breach played well at centre-back after Lynch went off with an injury. Loft was full of running and energy but lacked composure too often, needs to calm down a bit. Robinson again looked very good.

Marum's goal was very good - if we hadn't already signed Revell, he might be someone worth looking at further. But on the evidence I've seen, I'm happy with the choice we've made.

I think that will still be a problem next year.

Excellent confidence booster against albeit weak opposition. Lets be honest if these trialists can't impress against this standard of opposition they're not good enough for the quality of League 1 football, now point in wasting time playing them in future friendlies.
