To be fair, this is an Albion dinner for the players, management and staff. I think having a load of fans there is a bit daft.

there is obviously a loy of rich albion fans out there is they can afford £50 for a meal at this time.

I've been to a few of these bashes, and the quality seemed to be slipping a little, through a number of small, silly reasons (rather than any one big reason). Last night's bash featuring the shooting gallery, casino and dodgems was a corker - possibly the best yet (though the food was fairly mediocre).

What was evident last night was how relaxed and easy-going the players were last night. The vast majority (I didn't see all of them) were in fine form, chatting to anyone and everyone, having a laugh, signing autographs and messing about in dodgems.

These players are clearly good mates and happy in each others' company - which creates a pretty happy camp, which can only be a good thing.
