I went a few years back when Lush organsied a couple of tables.
Memories of the night are fairly errr, 'hazy' but I do remember spending the night at After's house.

After's managed to lose his house keys somewhere between the Grand and Hove, meaning we had to stand on the pavement at 2:30am on a Monday morning and shout for the beautiful Anne to come down and let us in. She wasn't impressed

If people want to spend £55 a head, it seems a bit unlikely that they're going to spend that amount of money then get thrown out for acting a twunt.

It was a nice bash when I went - having a chat with Danny Cullip etc. - but £55 plus booze is quite a lot of dosh for a night out, in my case.

I thought the Metropole was better than The Grand, as it happens. You don't go to these things for the quality of the food anyway but that fairground and casino idea was a cracker.
