With no football in two week's time - as we are concentrating on the league - am I right in thinking there'll be a few Seagulls at Moss Rose on Sunday 29th January, when they play Carlisle ?

Its their Fans United Day

Just south of Stockport. It's a dump, but Ian Curtis of Joy Division used to live there, so it's not all bad!

Had a Liverpool supporting mate that was from there, but lives in Wiltshire now. Said it was a bit of a dump, full of mostly Man U and Macclesfield supporters.

It's not that bad, small northern town, so your expectations are low to start with a suppose (Have worked here for 8 years).

You're half right, mostly Man Utd and Man City fans (which is why the club is never going to get very much further than the occasional visit to League 1).

Thanks for that correction, not been there, so can't really judge it just went by what this ex-Macclesfield resident was saying. But I would certainly go if I was a seagull exiled in the Manchester area, sadly a bit too far money wise for me. Hope we have a good presence there.

I work in Macc so I'll be there. If you want a good pub to visit, try the Waters Green Tavern near the station (landlady is a Brighton fan) Another pub within walking distance of the ground is the railway view - welcomes footie fans and has several good ales on usually.
