I'm not convinced that we are, but remain open to persuasion by a few more wins.:clap2:

Couldn't honestly say. The last two matches have been great, but the first five (apart from the odd spell) were pretty dire.

I'm not sure we've got a better squad (would take Zamora over Knight and Brooker over Currie) but we look better organised and physically stronger than last time.

I think the two key things may be the difference in the quality of the young players we have this time around (Virgo, Hinshelwood, El-Abd etc rather than Wilkinson, Marney etc) and the experience of our manager.

I think having Mark Mghee as your manager will help your cause
do you think you will attract any top players if you stay up?

The problem with attracting top players isn't the divisional status of the club, we attracted arguably our best (or at least best-known) player, Leon Knight while in Division 2.

The problem we have is that we simply can't afford the wages that top players demand, let alone any transfer fees. The club loses money every week, and the club directors have (according to our inside source) so far contributed £7m to keeping the club afloat and funding the ongoing Falmer campaign.

We can't begin to compete with other clubs for the best players until we have a stadium that will generate a decent income for the club.

as a Palace fan once said "Its better to have a rival with a ground than no rival at all" and I agree, Palace fans have helped us out with the Falmer thing for ages and I would help out Palace if it ever came to that.

Agreed, wouldn't want ANY club to go through what we've had to put up with, even Palace.

Want falmer yes ok i`ve changed my mind i know Palace fans have helped you out with a few friendly games etc and we were in the shit not so long ago it does hurt and we`re all for football what would life be without the Palace V Brighton fixture when it happens.

The big advantage we have this year is that we have been well organised from the off. We aren't going to be adrift at the foot of the table with 4 points in October.

Come the end of the season how we compare will be down to the loan signings and additional recruits McGhee brings in. Coppell got in Blackwell, Rodger, Sidwell, Ingamarsson who would all go straight into our team now(if fit) plus a few others. I think we need to add players who can make the same sort of impact as the season progresses.
