if you had the brains to count, you'd see that it's 3 goal-costing mistakes and i'd say thats quite a lot for the money they paid for him.

also he hasn't played that many games.

did you never see him for brighton?

He's played 20 games so how is that not many? We've only played 27 and he's been injured for three of them.

Shame you don't remember those 'goal costing' mistakes. As someone who's watched him week in week out I'm curious to see what I've missed.

If Leon came to Withdean with a Swansea side I wonder if he would get himself in a fight again like he did at Hillsborough.
He earned himself a 3 match ban at the very start of our Championship season. I doubt Bob Booker would go to his rescue again.

No i'd hope not, he was more popular than Harding I think. Expect he would have stayed at the club as well if he had been given the chance unlike Harding

Yes you will have to find out, if you are going to state 'facts' you should at least have a little evidence to back them up.

He hasn't given away three goals.

The Millwall one was Gregan going awol in the middle and Harding conceded a penalty for handball at Southampton.

Convenient that you are at work, eh! I'll look forward to hearing from you!

Personally I will give him 10 times the abuse of Harding. I'll be calling Leon all names under the Sun and hopefully the abuse will cause his short fuse to go and get him sent off. As Yorkie says remember Sheff Wed.

Harding went in the end to a better club for more money. Fair enough, although I would have preferred him to go in a similar fashion to Virgo who stayed loyal and got his chance anyway. Leon? If he had the attitude and work rate he could have gone onto better things but no-one is willing to take the chance on him. Twice the skill of Virgo but one scored more goals and went for £1.5 mill and the other 125K.

And another thing, lets not kid ourselves Leon wouldn't have gone at the end of last season, clearly no-one came in for him when his contract was up, hence staying with us. Do you really think he would have stayed otherwise?

Lol,not very convenient for me,MUCH rather be doon the pub!

Well thats 1.5 errors that you've found for me...probably Southampton was one of them.

Why do i need evidence? This is NSC...plus i've seen harding play so it's highly likely

bygones be bygones, we had some very good times with Leon, just not too many recently!!

However if he has bagged a 3rd against Palace without the McInuff scoring he would of been hailed an all time albion hero with a hatrick against our arch rivals!!

Because you are making ASSumptions about Harding that aren't true. He's been superb and has only gotten better and better as the season has gone on for us. He gets forward and crosses the ball like a young Harte used to, his postioning is spot on almost always, his crossing is spot on, he can play the ball 50ft to Douglas' feet and his link up play with Lewis is great.

If the Soton penalty and the incident at Millwall are the only things he does wrong all season he's done a pretty darn great job! Certainly hasn't cost us any points!

Still, I'll wait until you've had chance to dig up the goal costing mistakes you've obviously watched him more than me this season to notice these things.

It was stated at the Fans Forum that the club didn't receive one enquiry about him.

I'll bite my tongue and not boo him even though he will inevitably have something controversial and anti Albion/McGhee to say before the game.

I wouldn't blame him at all. He's been mismanaged for a season and a half. No wonder he feels frustrated.

McGee tried everything to bring out Leon's talent. Even made him captain at Shrewsbury and praised his new mature attitude in the press at the start of the season. Leon threw it all back in his face.

I really thought Leon had got it sussed at the begining of this season. Even the diving had stopped. He had a couple of bad games and, rather than knuckling down and working his way through the bad form, he opted to sulk, start diving again and generally behave in a way that started to become an embarresment to our football club. It pained me to watch one of our own players try and con the match officials on such a regular basis.

Unless you're blessed with the talent of George Best or Gazza, to be a professional football player you need to behave like a professional. Leon has not got George or Gazza's talent and it appears that he has been anything other than professional over the last year.

All that being said if he goes to Swansea, realises his mistakes and pulls himself together he can still become a great player. Now that he's gone let's wish him well and all move on from this embarresing episode.

I think there's a big difference between Knight and Harding's departure. Harding lead us on a merry dance claiming he wanted to pledge his future to us whilst stalling contract negotiations and touting himself via his agent to other clubs. Leon, as far as I know, never did that. He only put in a transfer request when he felt his relationship with his manager could go no further and hence whilst McGhee was in charge he had no future at the club. Give the little fella a break.

They both took the piss out of our football club, intentional or not, so why not?

I can recall several occasions where Knight skipped off to the dressing rooms straight after the final whistle without coming to clap/wave to us supporters (away games).

For this reason, I'll boo as loud as I did at Harding at Elland Road if we get to go to Swansea next year - be it Championship or League 1

Yes, and I remember Sidwell kissing the badge before leaving for Reading. Leon might be a surly little git but at leats he didn't take the piss.

He didn't take the piss? are you kidding. I felt Harding took the piss a little bit but at least he didn't try to destabalise moral within the team so as to engineer a move or the dismissal of the manager. Harding didn't always try his hardest but at least he applied himself unlike Knight who plays soley for himself and was a lazy little xxxx.

I personally think Hardings ok and was gutted to lose him. Knight can get f***ed.

You're a very generous fella and tha's why I like you.

I'm willing to bet Leon's agent (his 3rd in 6 years, so no pressure there then) has been working Leon's CV around for some time. I would think he's not in line for an annual bonus just getting him third-tier football, but top marks for all those shit-stirring stories in the Sun
