It's not up to us.

The away club dictates what their ticket policy is.

Try writing to all the other clubs Dave. They may listen to you.

or be able to pay on the door...I am thinking of Sheffield United where the Albion insisted we bought tickets through them and the stand was 3/4 empty

Yorkie, in some instances that may be true, but I had a chat with a club official who said it was our policy to make sure only AMS members could attend which would make it easier if there was any trouble to ban them!

Again, it was Bramall Lane that dictated that.
They have had a lot of problems there.

The fact that it was on a Tuesday night didn't help matters with attendance

The Albion cannot insist on another clubs ticket policy.

I guess part of the issue is it is tic for tat. We make all our games all ticket and so clubs do the same to us.

I would still be happy to buy an away season ticket. I know I will miss a couple (Cardiff away), but if it guarantees me a ticket and means I do not have to go up against some 2 away game a season closest for local games and play off ones etc, then I am more than happy.

Chappers.

Wed 29th...Notts Forest away. I work in London. I have a customer restoring his system that day. If he finishes by 3 I will get a train to Forest and get there in time. If he doesn't finish till after 3 I will miss the game.

BUT I have to buy a ticket if I want to go...where is the sense in that? I am not wasting more of my money !

And your point is? Would you rather we had a hooligan element back? It is a pain in the backside but is probably for the best.

Ok well I'll dispute that because of the trouble the Blades have had in Sheffield.

Fights between Cheaterfield and Blades when they weren't playing each other come to mind.

I thought it was an agreement between Bramall Lane and Sheffield City council following the Leeds visit in the cup.

No my point is the one I made above about Notts Forest...its called choice.

Getting the hooligans back!!! *sheesh* I assume the next quote will be something like...if we dont control the fans we wont get Falmer

Sorry Yorkie, I am going to have to put you on ignore for continually never ever seeing any fault with the club or how things are run. :lolol:

I'm 99% certain I just turned up and paid for that game. I was working in Stevenage and couldn't guarantee going so I'm sure I didn't buy a ticket.

Wolves made their game all ticket until the day of the match and then let people pay on the gate. Gloster managed to do that when we had already bought tickets through the club.

I think it depends on how many tickets had already been sold and if it wasn't many, then the home club can change it.

Try ringing Forest, Dave, and see what they say.
