Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
The last two announcements were tweeted by the club at least an hour beforehand saying there was breaking news. It's now 16.34 so I doubt that anything is going to happen at 5pm.

Well yes that's how WE find out. The press conference is for the press, isn't it? Are you saying there were no press around when Bridge was announced?

Think about it. Club says we would like all the major press outlets to appear today at 17:00 for a major announcement... and then announces a new sponsor for the East Stand Brasserie. Great publicity for the sponsor maybe, but in reality this is not how it works. The club announces a signing via website, SMS twitter etc and then calls a press conference. Then the press decide whether to send full TV crews, or it is just the Argus junior and HB&B sitting there as an 18 year old trialist is announced.

I think the club must give the heads up to the press but embargo them on what they can say before it is official. Naylor then has a choice to make, piss off BHA by running a story or keep in with the club.

FWIW i don't think anything will happen today.

When it comes through the word embargo is usually in big red letters.
