Someone has been reading Dan Brown and taking it (far too) seriously :lolol:

No species (that has lasted remotely close to as long as we have) ever bcame extinct due to over breeding. Biology doesn't work like that.

Anyway, if you're feeling gloomy, this will cheer you up

I looked at populations through the years and it was 2.5 billion in 1950 and 4.6 billion in 1980 and 7.6 billion now

You are seeing an explosion in the growth of birth rates there - this is due to sudden and hugely improved infant mortality rates in the developed world. You are wrongly assuming that people will continue to have 5 or 6 kids like they did before the industrial revolution - they did that because most kids died. This is the same reason birth rates in Africa are so high - most of the kids die, people in the developed world no longer have so many children because they know that it's highly likely that any children they have will survive. It will take quite some time before the same can be said of Africa, and the moment mortality improves in Africa, you'll see all those children growing up instead of dying. Once the people there trust that their kids will survive, the birth rate will drop off a cliff.

There's no way on earth this can be sustained and we're not talking about just food. The wildlife will all disappear and the eco system will collapse causing many diseases etc.
With respect, nobody really knows how many people the Earth can sustain.

It's the 3rd world countries that breed like rabbits mostly and not sure how you go about sorting that out.I noticed that chinas population along with India has rocketed to rough 1.4 billion each unreal....:(

You need to understand why they breed like rabbits. It's because many of their children will not survive. You don't have one child and then another one once it dies. You have as many children as possible and hope as many survive as possible. In many parts of Africa you might need your children for work/help as well. You can sort it out by providing high quality healthcare to the continent, over time this will change the mindset so that most people only have the number of children they want, as opposed to as many as possible so you get the best chance of some living.

If you look at all these overpopulated places you'll see the quality of life is really really poor and will get far worse but also many will look to flock to other countries and also overpopulate them.

Well I don't know what you mean by overpopulated, but if you mean Africa and India, then these places aren't poor because they have a lot of babies, it's the opposite. They have a lot of babies because they are poor. It's the best way to guarantee the survival of some of your children.

Need to trim it down too 5 billion ish but how?

I disagree that we need to trim it down. We say that because numbers scare us. SEVEN billion?! ELEVEN BILLION in a few generations!?! STOP! The reality is that we don't know what that will look like, and if we reach that number it's because the world has finally started to balance out (to a small degree) and those continents mentioned will have good access to high quality healthcare.

We could always stop eating all the animals on the planet if we care so much? (Have to get a vegan knife in here somewhere) ;)
