I tweeted the TOC's in the south to ask why they thought it was ok to charge peak prices for a weekend service and somewhat surprisingly, have had no responses.

It may be a practice going back to BR days, but it doesn't make it an excuse. Robbing bastards.

Try asking ATOC as they are the ones that set the fares regulations
