Have you tried looking on the world wide web (nationalrail.co.uk) or even using telecommunications (08457 484950) to arrange your travel? I know Hove to London is an incredibly unusual train journey but I have found this is extremely useful rather than asking people on an internet message board.
****. Didn't Santa bring you the tricycle you wanted?
In theory yes ringing National Railways, going on their website or using the National Rail App should bring you the information you want. Experience informs me that their info is often extremely optimistic in the aftermath of an incident. Also, my experience tells me Ernest has a more accurate and realistic grip on local rail information than the three sources I listed. And most people on this site who use the railways and know this site will vouch for this. Whilst you think you're being funny or smart me and these same people simply think your a JCL or simply a twat. Now piss off as its past your bed time.
Bloody hell are you ok? Calm down fella!! Holy shit!!
Firstly, I don't know who National Railways are -are they the same as National Rail? National Rail are sometimes a bit crap, but I've certainly never heard them as being 'optimistic' - I wish!! What is this incident you talk about anyway? I am travelling on the local rail network tomorrow and I would be keen for you to reveal this to me.
And as for Ernest - why don't you just bloody Private Message him if he's that good with the information?!:

Ha ha seriously mate you sound pathetic!! You sound like an MP!!
Did you get a smartphone for Xmas?
Oh. And I couldn't use my Network Card as, I was told, it was before 10am and a weekday. When I asked about the train times I was told it was a Saturday service. When I pointed out the obvious the chap in the ticket window revised his response with "it's a revised mid-week service based on a Saturday timetable."
Farce.
Yes that con has been going on since BR days, run a Saturday service but charge full peak time Mon - Fri fares
Is it really a big deal that he asked?
