Many people I know have finished their Christmas shopping by the end of November.
It seems to me that discounts are incerasing as we approach the big day. My advice, hold off the shopping as long as you can. The first one to blink looses.

I've always held off the shopping. Ideally until Christmas Eve although if I don't go and get next year's Harveys Christmas pudding soon, someone will have eaten them all.

It's all a bit of a panic though, I have tended to do that and found it quite stressful tbh

I tend to work out what I want to buy as gifts, work out where I can buy it, chekck they got it and then execute. If my plans go well I can be in a pub by noon meeting a friend for 'lunch'. See, men CAN do this shopping thing.

Ah that's where I'm going wrong, I go out with absolutely nothing in mind and start to worry when I have seen nothing suitable within an hour.

I always do the vast majority of my shopping on Christmas Eve. A bit more exciting with time running out and it is less crowded, usually.

Ah Bof i have found a better way!!

Kelkoo for the price comparisons then through the links on NSC did all of my christmas shopping (except cards) within 20 mins in the comfort of my computer chair in the warm and dry!!

I can see the merits and I have always been tempted to get it all done on the www, but tend to avoid internet shopping for yuletide gifts. Most of my presents come from the weird and wonderful shops in North Laine or the lanes. A hassle free stroll on Christmas Eve and then meet up with some chums for a festive beverage or five. Good times.

Fair enough! I tend to get asked for more mainstream so it suits me but with the mention of a festive beverage i see the evil of my ways.

Me kids just want the money for Xmas. Suits me. Means I don't have to ever enter any heaving Xmas-bedecked emporium or listen to Jonah Lewie's one hit or acknowledge that Xmas shit in any shape or form. And the kids can cherry-pick from the pre- or post- Xmas sales. Everyone's a WINNAH! :clap2:
