Why do you have to be so vague, 'have nots', 'vulnerable' and 'poverty' .....

Its like mediums, that say 'I am getting something, does the letter 'A' mean anything', jeeeez just give me a name if you really can speak to the afterlife .....

1 not working, single, living in a 1 bedroom apartment
Couple, not working, living in a 1 bedroom apartment
Couple, one child, not working living in a two bedroom apartment
Couple two children, not working, living in a two bedroom apartment
and so on, give me the figures, what do they receive, include Free School meals, prescriptions, dental care, pupil premium etc ??

Then we might have a serious debate on what seems reasonable and what does not, its all here http://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/startcalc.aspx?e2dwp=y

Then we can have an honest debate, not vague political cliches.

I was deliberately vague because I've witnessed "honest debates" and "serious debates" on NSC where specifics are accompanied by statistics and counter statistics wheeled out by opposing posters and they inevitably degenerate into hair splitting, distraction, cliche and insults.

Your aggressive post avoids that circumlocution by starting off in a dismissive and vaguely derogatory manner (and then ironically/hypocritically ends with a request for honest and serious debate).

There are obviously merits to both sides of the left/right argument; there are some people who take advantage of benefits provided by the state, there are many who are badly let down. All people who are wealthy retain their wealth, a few who aspire to wealth achieve it. There are good capitalists, there are bad socialists. Those aren't specifics, those are the reality.

My post was not about specifics, it was about principles and beliefs at the heart of political movements; capitalists are called capitalists for a reason and so too are socialists. I was responding to an insight into how the less fortunate in our society are faring. I'm not going to research and trade statistics at your behest, they are not relevant and besides, your post (and the tone of your other posts) gives the lie to how you would conduct yourself.

Ill try and dig it out, it was on my FB feed, and it was something from a twitter account. Not totally reliable, but I wouldnt discount it still.

If it's this chap then, frankly, I would.

Ok, here it is. Like we all know, it is not a reliable source, but lets not forget the last war memorial graffitti was blamed on 'lefties' and it most certainly wasnt.

Found this tweet whilst looking though, and says a lot really.

'Disabled war veterans get their benefits stopped, no one bats an eye. War memorial gets tagged, everyone cries about respect '
Are you suggesting that war veterans had their benefits stopped, and the media (including the left wing media) said nothing?

Or perhaps these reliable sources

Seriously Dave. You do your cause no good in even entertaining these conspiracy theories.

People seriously entertained the idea that the previous war memorial attacks were by lefties/muslims.
All im saying is, there are alternatives to it being 'lefties' and its not necessarily a nailed on fact.
They are unlikely to have been on the march, but ive seen UKIP people say some pretty nasty things about Tories as well..

No, im posting a quote, but the fact remains, this grafitti is getting a lot of hurrumphing, and tbh, I didnt hear so much about the pensions. Maybe for a couple of days, and that was it.

Well one thing for sure, when a rabble went damaging property a few years ago, the student that urinated over the monument was not a police plant. Was a upper class Charlie Gilmour, stepson of Dave.

We discussed at length, right here last year, when you were plain old Bushy..
There were links provided.

Maybe you could provide me a link that proves otherwise?
i haven't said , definitively, as you have, who it was or wasn't.

Feel free to do a search.

Why would I do that ? I haven't a clue who it was , I was simply challenging your statement that it 'most certainly wasn't' lefties, I asked to see the proof behind your assertion, which you have so far failed to provide , instead furnishing me with your usual bluster and deflection.
