Freedman refused to do the press briefing yesterday too, presume he wasn't too pleased to hear about those comments. Preparing his resignation?

As others say though, hopefully he'll stay

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
I think Freedman did bloody well in stabalising Palace last season to be honest.

Being let down by his board it would appear to me at present.

Theres definitely something wrong, especially this season. For what ever reason they havent been able to strengthen the squad especially when a few key players have gone. Financial trouble? Owners? hhmmm.

Wow. How much longer can Freedman live off his "legendary" status as a player there I wonder, when even the owner is hanging him out to dry.

*stifles a snigger*

Either that is a fake Twitter account, or yes, his days are numbered.

What kind of Board member says that kind of stuff abouttheir own Manager.

Could you imagie Bloom talking about Poyet like that?

Poyet would walk within an hour.

In fact, if Freedman had any balls, he'd walk, he's been completley undermined.

he won't walk, where's he going to walk to....... League 2?

he got the job because Palace were desperate after Eddie Howe rejected Palace and because of his playing days status at the club and he has survived because of his playing days status at the club and because the billionaire owners don't want to send a penny of their own dosh.

Freedman is in way over his head, completely out of his depth, he won't get a championship job when he ultimately fails and he knows it. 1 last min win against rivals and a win against Man U fringe players is papering over the crack of a rudderless lacklustre team and an unsupported shambles of a club with no money.

In the field
Dougie has done a pretty good job at Palace, tbh. Reaching the semi-finals of the Carling Cup, in addition to stablising a side who had been hovering around the relegation places for a couple of seasons. Throw into the mix that he is a Palace legend, and that all adds up to some pretty twattish treatment from Parish.

Agree he did well last season, but don't think it's the board that are letting him down now. They have said time and time again the money is there and it's been Freedman's decision to not sign Baxter etc. They wouldn't publically say that if it wasn't true as it is only going to piss Freedman off. starting to look like he is in over his head now he has the responsibility of building a new side, rather than making the best of what he has. Similar to Russell Slade I guess

He also has a well-travelled number 2 (Lennie Lawrence) helping him out as well.

Lennie Lawrence like Russell Slade has been tainted by a managerial spell at Grimsby Town , a massive blot on anyone's cv.

Clearly owners who have no idea of the sensible line to draw between running a club and being a fan
