the club want you all to be polite and friendly ,stand up to vent your anger youre told to sit down.applaud the away fans whats that about who else does that? i used to shake hands with all the away fans in west street in 70s 80s 90s.the fans the teams who visit the area have no worry about intimidation from us lot anymore.we are a new football club with ambitions but sadly its not working as planned.if we go down we will be in trouble thanks mr barber.we didnt take the gamble with ffp which surprises me considering mr blooms business.we have the look of premier set up of which im grateful but come on lets progress fffs.

our club has had it's balls ripped off...on and off the pitch......imho only of course.....other teams in the champs have a ferkin CAULDRON happening , we don't........it is a very weak comparison to the Goldstone days , the worst thing is that what's happening on the pitch is piss weak as well...!! imho of course...!!

I don't tend to get the feeling from the comments on this site that we're right now renowned for our charitability or patience, no. I grimace at the merciless onslaught on occasion and wish to be uninvolved with a large enough bunch of snarling weasels.
When at a game I don't feel embarrassed, in general, by our displays, so do not have an urge to cry for blood. A terrible losing run might change that a bit, but I don't feel like the sort of person who would point fingers so hatefully and demand sackings as if I live error free and sinlessly. I wince at the thought of it, and have enough trust in those to make good decisions when called upon.

To many players not playing for the shirt. Less loan players and more gritty hungry signings needed. A decent number two if Sami is staying.
I think many fans being too nice....well perhaps they remember how it was a few seasons back and the expectations are not as high as some supporters.

At many clubs, the problem is the constant hands-on interference of the chairman. At our club, the problem is that the chairman does not interfere enough.

Most Albion fans now want Tony Bloom to dispense with the services of Sami Hyypia, but remain inclined to defer to the judgement of the man whose money has rebuilt the club from its very foundations.

An uneasy standoff prevails: fans urging Bloom to sack Hyypia know that they are questioning the club's saviour's judgement in appointing the man in the first place; and Bloom knows that to sack Hyypia is to admit his own fallibility.

Good points but I find it difficult to ignore the fact these are very well paid people doing something which they are lucky enough to be quite good at. Too well paid imo.

Its all about opinions, but this is the biggest load of horse manure that I have read for a long time. Brighton's support comes from Whitehawk, Newhaven and places like that. That is why Brighton had the movement in the 1990's and well you cant ignore that goal posts came down. Brighton also has a vast support (like Leeds) and (like Leeds) they have a diverse support from people on the dole to the chairman of the board. I also would like to get rid of the myth that is offensive and that runs through your post, that "middle class" people are nice and "working class people" are not. The working class people I know and who have been at the Albion for generations are nothing but nice and would never rip down a goal post.

That's where the die hard support comes from. However there are plenty of rugby club and City types around the ground or at least there were until the Wigan game when only the hardcore turned up again. Those empty seats? The people who piss off on 83 minutes? They're not from Whitehawk I can tell you that.

Many of the North Stand weren't even born in 1997 and they won't even sing the same song as another group. No chance of them clubbing together and taking on the manager. Plus they've been spoiled with two chairmen who were fans and stuck in their own dough. Who's going to protest against that?

The veterans of the 90s are now between mid thirties to granddads. Of the group I used to go away with a couple never bothered after getting banned by the old regime, one watches Lewes and a more infamous one adds to his collection of Weatherspoon's pubs and County League type grounds. The rest are generally derided on here as hysterical moaning bedwetters even though most of what they've warned about has come to pass.

Far too heavy turnover of players, I mentioned on another thread, my 2014 calender has 2 players on each month, of the 24, only 8 are anywhere near the current matchday squad, the rest sold, released or loaned out.I know modern footballers are pretty mercenary but how can you build a sense of team/club spirit and purpose with such a transient squad, bulked up with here today gone tomorrow/or next month loan players, especially when you have a manager with all the character/dynamism/charisma of a dead fish ?

I don't blame Hyypia, I blame those who hired him, but that in itself gives me a dilema.

How do you voice your displeasure at a man who has chucked circa £200 million quid into the club?
