Sometimes the perforated bit isn't very good, leading to ragged edges when you tear the paper from the roll.

I think the worst thing is that it is not wide enough

In order to overcome the thick enough issue you have to scrunch it up, drawing vast quantities off the roll. If it were wider...say like a kitchen roll...you could simply draw off one or two decent sized, puppy dog fluffy, absorbent, duck down 'toilet towels' and loose the whole trauma of dealing with a product which is wholly inadequate for its purpose...Anyone?
