I can't wait to hear it and see - I have no doubts we will make a lot of noise our end - yesterday the Brighton fans sounded awesome on the radio - its going to be great I'm sure x

Oh yes, you will have a great day. Have a good one, and enjoy valentine's as well. Its like Christmas, yeah we are told to do it but why not, especially as it means that you married people get laid at least once a year! (That is a joke before I get toasted).

Not really, I've just started a new job that requires me to be up at 4am ! I'm also off on a skiing holiday in 3 weeks time so I'd rather save my money for that.

I'm not going. I have 1,450 loyalty points so I obviously go to more than my share of games and I was at Leeds yesterday. I have the time to go, I have the money to go and I don't have any other commitments. But I just can't get excited about a competition that has been increasingly devalued over the years and one which we have no chance of winning. The 'glamour' draws always attract a high proportion of dickheads, we'll almost certainly lose and Liverpool is a grubby place to be on a Sunday night. Count me out.
I can understand your post, although I'm not sure I agree with it (Liverpool will be desperate to win both cups for starters). Though I will take issue with your assessment of Liverpool. It's a great place to visit if you've not been there before. I'm not going either but if I was going I'd have gone on Friday or Saturday and made a weekend of it. Much like most of their woolyback/Norwegian supporters do.

As Simster says above, you've clearly had very limited cexperience of the city of Liverpool. Im going up with my family on Friday Morning. It's going to be quality.

Frutos's assessment of Leeds on another thread was equally as embarrassing. You do wonder whether certain muppets on NSC have actually ever been outside Sussex.

I agree, I think the confusion here is you two are clearly talking about the centre of Liverpool and I'm talking about Anfield. I've been to Liverpool quite a few times and I like it. Plus I'm not one of these retards who thinks the sun shines out of the arse of Sussex and everywhere more than three miles outside its borders is a deprived shithole. However, I'm not even sure the average resident of Syria would currently swap their situation for a home around Anfield.

My issue with this game more than anything is the time it is on. If it was on Saturday at ANY time, I would go because arriving in Liverpool at 11am and being ten pints down before the match makes it a decent day out. Unfortunately, the kick-off time, appalling transport options and the fact one eye will be on work on Monday morning means this is not an option.

There are so many reasons not to go:
- We will lose. As you say, Liverpool have a cup double in their sights and will be bang up for this game.
- It's a lot of effort to get there, bearing in mind the transport situation, and we could realistically be 2-0 down inside 15 minutes.
- Aforementioned dickheads. Stoke and Villa were both amazingly shite days out. I dread to think how many of these mongs will be turning out at Anfield.
- Time of kick-off means all of the 'day out' will be spent in Anfield, which is ghastly.
- I've seen Liverpool's players once already this season.
- It's on TV.
- Train is impossible/expensive. I don't want to spend 10 hours on the road.
- Fifth round is still one round away from it being a big game. If we were in an FA Cup quarter-final I'd go no matter where it was or who it was against, as we'd be at the business end. Even jokers like Crawley can still get to the fifth round, so it's not a major issue.

I'm starting to wish I wasn't going.
