Whatever colour socks he was wearing it's still never as bad as wearing a suit with trainers which looks completely ridiculous

Estate agents are one of my favourite subjects on here.

The fact is he wore a white shirt, and not a bright pink one with a silver tie or some such monstrosity..

Waistcoat though? :ffsparr:

Sounds awful. Recently spent some time in the states (Georgia) where many men favour a dark suit with with light brown shoes or pale chinos with black shoes, both of which cause an involuntary shudder.

Tan shoes worn with a dark suit is very fashionable amongst the young these days.
Officially stylish. Not for me, but, then again, I am not young.

Wearing a suit with white socks is better than wearing a suit with no socks.

If it was white socks and no suit, you wouldn't have noticed the socks?

Trust me, if they were all he'd been wearing, I'd have been staring intently at his socks!!

(I do know what you really meant!!)

I accept the jibes suggesting I have too much time on my hands - fair comments. But it had to be said. If he'd just had white socks on, so be it, a bit of a dork maybe, but that's all. These were "white trainers socks" with his suit and shoes. Surely needs pointing out?'
