But it wouldn't make his head jerk backwards, as it clearly does. Possibly jerk forward first and then jerk backwards but there's no sign whatsoever of forward movement on the Zapruder film.

Exactly what I was going to say. The premise of the BBC film was that a head might move backward or foreward regardless of the direction of a shot. However as Cadiz says the Zaprruder film clearly shows JFK's head pushed backward by the shot as an initial rather than secondary motion. The conclusion from which IMO is that there were at least two shooters, probably Oswald plus someone on the grass bank.

The Mafia/Cuban fascists/CIA renegades all had good reasons to eliminate Kennedy and given the the whole history of covert op's in the post-war period it is really too far fetched to believe that organised crime aided by rogue intelligence operatives planned and carried out the hit ?

Personally I don't know what to believe about the second shooter. For me the only serious theory about the second shooter would be born from the idea that Castro was attempting to kill Kennedy which I find very believable.

There is a cracking book which details why & how the shot came from the car directly behind JFK's - a total accident. It's called Mortal Error by a guy called Bonar Menninger.

Excellent insight into the ballistics which sound quite convincing. The Feds & CIA have spent so much time trying to dumb down the findings it's uncanny.
