Anyone remember when we drew 3-3 away at Birmingham?

What a brilliant game that was.

Think we were 3-1 down at one point at Stuart Munday scored an overhead kick. They had the diminuitive Jose Dominguez on the wing.

Great days!

Except getting pelted with all manner of stuff as we were stuck at the front of one of the stands.

I was there.

That was the game when the then-new Birmingham City managing director Karen Brady unilaterally reduced our allocation from 1,500 to 150 because, she said, the game would be sold out for Birmingham fans.

The Albion complained to the Football League, and the allocation was raised to 500. In the end, the attendance was just over 19,000 for a stadium that held 26,000.

In the end, I sat in with the home fans, and they were constantly moaning about Ricky Otto being in Peter Smith's pocket all match. Great game though.

They were likely to win the title that day and had the trophy ready to present. We peed on their party by getting a draw (in fact were leading 3-1 at one stage). Natives were far from happy (we got a Police escort out through some awful estate afterwards) in fact even before the game our mini-bus had a load of stuff thrown at it.. They ended up wrapping up the title at Brentford the following Saturday I believe.

There was a big row before the game as to whether George Parris could play or not

I was there with my brother & two mates in the Birmingham end .... C'ant remember how the scoring went but we were sitting at the back of the main stand (fairly worried about what we would do when/if we scored) .... anyway an over head kick friom Munday sent us of our seats etc etc .... and nothing was said by the locals at this point - when Brum took the lead/equalised I remember their scorer to be a Peter Shearer .... I knew this because I had a Brum fan sitting in the back row of the stand and directly behind my seat hanging of the 'rafter of the stadium stantion' with one hand and pointing a finger in my face shouting ' shearer shearer shearer' with the other hand.

I got kicked out of the Birmingham end. They put me with the albion shocking :jester:

I remember this one. I was a student in Brum at the time. This was also the season I had money on Birmingham going up as champions (as it turned out I also predicted the winners of the other 3 leagues - a bet I did nicely out of, but never to be repeated). At one stage in that game I had some very mixed feelings - it was near the end of the season. I also remember us singing 'where were you when you were sh*t' and the Tilton End threatening send us all home in ambulance!

Was this around about the time when Munday scored that stunner at leicester in the league cup? seem to remember him scoring a few good goals around that time
