You mean ESU, not WSU presumably.

I've only been to WSU for comparison purposes and genuinely prefer the East (family) for these reasons:
* better view - we are in row Z, so reasonably high up, but not so high as to feel up in the Gods.
* easier access to the trains/buses should I not want to hang around. People in the North and East can leave on the final whistle and still get on one of the first buses. *smug*
* better view of the stadium. The West and therefore the whole ground looks immense from the East. Less so, from WSU.

Oops! yes I did mean ESU.
I quite liked being in the WSU and our block (H) was extremely noisey with a good bunch sitting around us. We were in row J which isn't too far back, but those bloody 120 steps are a killer when you're 59! But I'm looking forward to being a bit closer to the action in the ESU C block row O. And I'm looking forward to seeing extra time as we had to miss it in the WSU so we could run to catch the P/R bus before the queue became too silly.

Somebody MUST have decided against renewing their seat, my Seat is front row of the North Stand just to the very left of the goal, I can't think anyone would wanted to have swapped that one!!!! I've got the best seat in the house (IMO of course!!!!)

They moved on H&S grounds, as CMS hit the fella in that seat about fifteen times with shots last season

I would be surprised if you find the East noisier, to be honest. WSU does bring the noise, that's for sure. But the East *does* have a good atmosphere and is by no means quiet (until you get right down to the south goal end).

But, crazily, some people in those stands left early several times last season and missed last-gasp goals. Mental.

In fairness, it only became apparent towards the end of the season that the WHOLE match was doable along with first bus. It won't happen again.

You may have moved into one of the seats vacated by me and my two mates. They are indeed xome of the best seats in the house, you have a great view of the likes of Buckley legging it up the wing directly at you and the players often celebrate right up in your face! Unfortunately I was out voted by my mates and we moved to the back row of the North to be closer to some other mates . .

Yes I had 2 season tickets and have given them up, well actually I gave them / transferred them to 2 friends in Brighton, quite simply what I thought was a realistic possability in making all / most of the home games sadly did not turn out like that, living so far away (I live in South Wales near Bridgend) also proved to make it very expensive, also a new job has not made every Saturday a natural day off (when I purchased the STs i did have a job which did not involve me working any weekends)

I will be attending some home games, but will just use general sale tickets and also the ticket section on here is a great way of getting to many games.

hitony out of interest, did you have any trouble transferring the seats? I thought you had to have a PSL?

I moved from wsu to the north stand, as I didn't want to sit with all the rest of the cardboard cutouts that were around me, and being told to keep it down when trying to get people to sing...

Know how feel, I sit about 7-8 rows back from you, the people in block d don't like to start the singing but will join in if its loud enough from along the stand. Strange.

(im the bloke who tries to sing with you but gives up, especially when its just us 2)

There are 7 of us who sit together and there was no chance of 7 of us being able to move together so we've decided to stay put, one stroke of luck we did have was on getting to know a bloke in front, told us he wasn't renewing so my mate applied for his seat for his son and got it, just no more Dicks bar before games with an under 18 in the group now..

It wasnt straight forward at all, i have generalised it in my post above for simplicity of doing the post, but it was all done correctly and was above board etc. I will say the people who had my STs were on the waiting list anyway.

EDIT: Sorry I meant to add, and credit where credits due, the ticket office were extremely helpfull with my situation and I really can't thank them enough

Spongy, i feel for you buddy. But you know how difficult it is to get any singing going up there. I hope you have better luck next season. Whereas i will be in my element and sounding right rough after each game.

you could always ask the club if they have any spare seats in the north??

Know the feeling. I try and get some started every now and then up at the back, but it's rare for other people to join in. Considering moving to the North after Uni!

Had to give mine up - new job wih weekend commitments:( , plus my first child due end of August :rave:- so while we lose an STH now, we get two future STH. Was a few rows behind Slinky as well - would have looked for a move too I think, noise always seemed better elsewhere.

5 of us moved for this season and added another, so 6 in total. I don't think it would have been impossible, unless you wanted the North. We went rows 2 and 3 (3 and 3) in ESU just off centre towards the North.
