Radiohead are going to stop making albums :clap2::clap2::drink::yahoo::cheers:

No more dull, uninspiring songs to slit your wrists to!!!

I am sorry mate but have you ever listened to Kid A and Amnesiac? Anything but dull.

Radiohead are one of the most progressive creative bands this country has produced. It a shame that the majority of the country does not realise this and insists on buying Coldplay, Keane, Oasis and other such lazy boring music.

I don't get it. Why is this good news? If you're a fan, then it's not good news

If you're not a fan, then it's not particularly good news either. You won't be buying any of their albums, so it's no skin off your bollocks if they stop recording.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a Radiohead allbum it were 49p with a cereal voucher but I'm going to be rejoicing that they've stopped recording.

A shame, because it means that the charts and airwaves will be even more full of bland, soul-less, vapid, 'RnB' bilge (hey, we gotta a great choreographed dance routine, let's cobble together a shitty song and make a video while we preen and prance and pout at the camera) and goddawful
(c)rap music - aka chav music.

sorry guys, but you're not convincing me...

I'm not into hip-hop or RnB PeteinBlack so I agree with you on that one.

I just think Radiohead are one of those vastly overrated groups, like the Arctic Monkeys who just churn out album after album of uninspiring dull boring shit and are really no different to the likes of Girls Aloud or the Sugababes, but get away with it because their music is listened to by so called "intellectuals" who think they understand music.

Give me a bit of Julio Iglesias, Barry Manilow or Bros anyday

i'll bet my bollocks you've never heard Hail To The Thief or In Rainbows, this is bad news because (IMO) Radiohead are one of the only bands where each album released has been better than the previous.

There's obviously no problem with not liking Radiohead or even perhaps thinking them over-rated, but considering them "uninspiring dull boring shit" and "no different to the likes of Girls Aloud or the Sugababes" does indeed mark you out as somone who really doesn't have a clue about music. That's not controversial, that's an obvious conclusion to draw. I don't particularly like Beethoven, but you know I can kinda tell that's he's fairly good and I'd probably say a bit better than say, Nigel Kennedy.

Anyways, I'm off to start a 'George Orwell is just boring shite, Dan Brown is where it's at' thread.

Honestly? I think that's true up to O.K computer. It's arguable that:

KiD A< Amnesiac<Hail to the thief<In Rainbows. But none of the last four albums are better than o.k computer(IMO), or the bends.

radiohead are one of the greatest bands this country has ever produced, and a band that has displayed more album-to-album progression than virtually every band since the beatles. to describe them as dull and uninspiring serves to show how little you understand them and, most probably, music in general. though this comes as no surprise when you see the popularity of the most lumpen tripe.

That bollocks just because you dont like there music doesnt mean you can compare them to a manufactuered bands.

Radiohead have made some vastly respected albums and by are alot of peoples favourite band. just because you dont agree with this doesnt mean you have to be snobbish yourself about it.

music is music you dont like it then fair enough but no need to wind others up who do just for a laugh.

It's odd this cos one of them was on breakfast telly this morning and he said they're working on new material at the moment.

As I understand it they're still going to be releasing music, just not in an album format. They'll be releasing it as downloadable singles and e.p's, I think.
