Hi Danny, Yeah take moggy's advice as he's qualified I used to be qualified but that has now lapsed to be up and til the fourteenth edition of the IEE regs.

I'm pretty sure that the following describes exactly your problem.
For the sake of the worriers here please turn off power at the fuse box/CSU before doing work.

Although many electricians don't like providing a Part P for work someone else has done.

Possibly so and I don't blame them really but to say you can't change a plug is a little silly.
