Anyone going away over the festive period?

I've often thought about taking the family away over Christmas but my other half has never been keen, was wondering if any of you lot go away for all or part of Christmas, where you go and whether you miss family at home. May try and convince them next year

I leave next week Off to meet my girlfriend in South Africa for a month. It's not as festive there but I do like the summer weather. Been in Oz for Xmas with family too, would recommend it as a change but if you have kids you'll want somewhere that hypes Christmas as much as England I guess?

Not this year, but I'm going to be getting a fairly hefty tax rebate next year. Gonna take the family to Lapland.

I have Christmas off this year! First time in 20 years. Off to Denmark with the family to visit relatives, looking forward to it.
