Was only a matter of time before el-abd got sent off yesterday. Some challenges that were very dangerous.

I think that that was the reasoning behind his substitution, nothing to do with his play which was the usual excellant spoiler game, which every successful team has and needs.

That was most certainly the reason for his substitution. He had been playing well other than the mis-timed tackles.

Are we getting carried away with what was a reasonable initiation into English football. Is it that our expectation is so low that anybody looks to be an improvement but did he win more balls and look so menacing as El Abd, the answer is a resounding no.

His distribution was better then Adams but that is not what Adam is in the team for or is it.

lightn up for goodness sake

On his showing I would like to see him in the team with El Abd not instead of as is being suggested by many.

I believe that our problems at the moment stem from us not having a ball playing midfielder to disribute the ball accurately and quickly.

At the start of the season Cox was hitting balls into open spaces and JR was running and picking them up as if through telepathy but that is not happening now. Either Coxy has decided that he must put the ball into the crowded box near to or at the keeper or he has been told to and is following instructions.

He has lost his flair for the unexpected ball.

I thought he looked very useful when he came on. He got into the game straight away attacking with his very first touch. I would like to see him start on saturday.

Agree with that.

Swap Rents for Lynch and you are there.

I had a feeling Bertin would be good and he looked class to me. Found space well, very neat and made the right choices with his movement and passing.

Again, why would you drop Lynch? He was by far and away our best defender yesterday! Looks back to his best.
