Depends what letters you had already eliminated in lines 1 and 2

There are definitely cases where that is true.
In this particular case, with the options that you must have had after guess 2, it wouldn't have eliminated anything.

I was surprised, as I thought the used word list would have been very helpful.
But it wasn't particularly.
