I for one am feeling a little let down by beloved Albion(never thought i'd say that).
Sent of my Spurs application on the 8th and this morning got my letter from Mr Perry, like so many others. I feel very annoyed as many of the tickets probably went to 'fans' that have not seen the lads play since Cardiff, let alone an away game or for some even at Withdean ! Some even got tickets well after i posted mine so the date reciept line is rubbish.
Thats my Christmas partially ruined . HUMBUG !!

I know what you mean to a degree. I have got a Spurs ticket, but missed out on a West Ham one and know for a fact that people who have never watched the Albion ever went to that game.

Was at Millwall kinky but had the pleasure of sitting in the executive club with the locals was great fun. Still if hadn't been there would have been with our away support.:clap2:

6,000 Brighton fans go to Withdean each week.

Another few hundred go away

= c6,400 REGULAR fans after 5,400 tickets.

Not everyone is going to get one. We all knew this and we all knew it was first come first served.

If you want to be mad at someone be mad at yourself for not getting application off quick enough.

Ive missed out before and blamed myself.

Its all very well slating the club but that wont get people tickets. getting off your arse and sorting the application out early will.

Dont let it ruin your christmas, just get your applications in early for the next round!

Most of those few hundred also go to Withdean.

There are not 6400 fans who regularly go away. Where were they at Wigan, Crewe, Derby?

No they dont all regularly go away BUT neither do most of the people on here moaning about getting tickets.

I was just making the point that for big games such as this there are over 6,000 people who are going to want to go.

I received a letter this morning saying that I'd missed out.

I'm not cross because I've managed to get tickets in the home end as soon as I found out that I'd missed our allocation, but seeing as how I posted my application on the 7th within two hours of the application details being posted on the official web site , how fast do I have to be to get an application registered?

It seems to me that if you live outside of Sussex you haven't got a prayer in this situation as thousands just go straight to the club shop to hand in their application (or ask friends to do so) and the postal system within Sussex is faster than London (which doesn't surprise me).

I couldn't have applied any faster.

There are regular away fans that have missed out on tickets.

If the system is such that regular away fans do not get tickets then the system is wrong.

If more people apply for tickets - by the deadline - then the amount of tickets on sale, then putting your application in on time will not guarantee you a ticket.

If you put your application in first won't it be on the bottom of the pile?!

I sympathise with the regular away fans who have missed out.

I do think that in an ideal world the club could operate something like Cardiff, with people having to been to a certain number of away games in order to get priority etc.

There is no reason why we can not aperate in an ideal world.

The regular away fans can even pay the administration fees.

The club will not do it though, as they do not want to piss off the fair weather fans who they hope will fill Falmer.

My application was posted the morning after details were realesed so was in fairly soon.
Point is how many got tickets even though they posted later.

Probably hit the nail on the head there Fatboy.

Only away games Ive been to are Leicester, Forest, West Ham and Millwall this season but would have been pissed off if I had missed out for someone attending their first game of the season home or away.

There are people that haven't missed an away game since 1978.

They should not be at risk of missing out on tickets to someone that can only be bothered to get out of their armchair as we are playing a Premiership team.

f*** off Richie, most people who missed out posted their applications early and got stitched up by the post.
Telling people to blame themselves really doesn't help when fans feel genuinely gutted.
