Anyone Else Been to Menorca?

I will look it up on the net...we are looking to go again the last week in October and have been told that most of Menorca shuts
down!!!!

I went in the 3rd week of October a couple of years ago,it was a lot quieter but everything was open. We're going back next year in October again.

Not been to Menorca but as you have pointed out a far more family orientated place.

I would recommend Gran Canaria in October went there last year for October half-term and had a magnificent beach holiday. From around 10:00 till 17:00 spent most of the day in the sea body surfing a stopping my younger 4 year old wading out too far.

Just got back from Turkey which is very pleasant as well but you get a load of hasle there so not for the feint hearted. As long as you know what you want to do in Turkey and ignore the rest it's fine.

It's paradise, especially if you're there with locals so you find all the wild beaches.

What are the beaches like, now ?

I've been to Formentera a couple a times. Beautiful beaches full of bronzed naked and very fit Spanish/German/Dutch and even English women.

What are the beaches like, now ?

If you go to the right ones, they're quiet, white sanded, surrounded by cliff faces, and away from the towns. I can't tell you where the wild beaches are, as they ain't signposted and most of them you need to be with a local to find them, but it's worth the effort.
