Burgess Hill
Been doing Burgess Hill to London for 20 years. Easy to be critical with some of the current London Bridge issues, but it was far worse in the 90s and early 00s with the slam door trains, frequent rail strikes, line-side fires, leaves, wrong type of snow and less ability to check in advance of travelling.

Leaving home at 6, I am usually at LB by 7am and in Canary Wharf by 7.15. Going home, I aim to get to LB 10 mins before a train departure, that way always get a seat. Would I swap what I do for a 1 hour drive each way ? Not in a million years. I get home more or less on time 95% of the time and have used the hour to catch up on emails, read the paper, catch up on TV etc and generally chill out, and not stressed out from traffic, tired from driving etc.
