Yes very cheap beer away from the new developments and 'old town' tourist areas, and the cheapest football match I have ever been to in my life 35p to watch Skonta Riga play Aberdeen about 5 years ago.
A bit like the Romania thread that was going about a while ago, the centre is pretty expensive now as a lot of the goods are imported from Estonia and Finland and City Centre bars are equivelent to UK prices, and in some cases even more.
It has a very Scandinavian feel, loads of blondes as well, very nice !
Out of the centre still very Easern Europaen looking, very cheap and still loads of Communist monuments to acheivement etc !
