Yes couple of half-terms ago in October and excellent fun as well.

Loads to do if you check out the web sites and cheap as chips.

I would imagine with your cultural background Budapest would be well worth a visit DTG.

Everyones a pimp, the taxi drivers, the bar staff and especially the hotel staff. Dont get involved, two of my mates go proper ripped off! Good clubbing and plenty of free birds! Stay off the main square and it is cheap.

Most young people speak English these days - when I first went there 20 years ago, hardly anyone did.

Cool place; Check out the Turkish baths.

Went there last winter for 4 days. Plenty to look at. The castle disrict in Buda is beautiful and a visit to one of the spas is good fun. Lying in a warm outside pool whilst the outside temperature was -2 with snow falling all around was different.

There is a huge indoor market of a thousand stalls and everyone of them seems to sell paprika.

Restaurants are excellant and really cheap.
Look up the reataurant Karpathia online Dave because thats a good place for a special night out.

Its very easy to get around as well as they have a great tram network thats about 6 quid for a week.
