Just posted a letter and whilst putting it in the post box the stamp fell off onto the floor and the letter went in. Will it be delivered the other end or shall I do another and repost?

And no! It's not an excuse for forgetting to put the stamp on.

I work for Royal Mail & the official line is that your letter will go as 2nd class & the recipient will have to pay postage + a handling charge - a total of £1.06. They'll also have to collect their letter rather than it being delivered. And we do always collect the money - we need it!!!

You need to say in the second letter that the first letter was sent without a stamp so not to go and collect it and pay the fine...He won't know this letter is from you! :p
