Yes, I do too. It's a lot of money but sometimes it happens. We had the same thing against Liverpool, yet you get days out like Cardiff away and you love it. Football can be so unpredictable and we wouldn't have it any other way.

I think I can agree with that. It just hurts a lot sometimes.

No. Some of them were low scoring, but CPFC for example, knew how to stiffle, fight, have pace on the break & get a result at the Boleyn.

The Albion didn't, continuing their poor away form.

Re CP...one game on another day...the part of your comment that is relevant is ''continuing our poor away form'' whether we lost six or one nil...it would have been yet another loss

The after match coverage for Brighton on BBC Sussex today has been a fing joke. There has been more about Woking than us. Now I know Woking have been promoted, but seriously why are they not on Radio Hampshire. I will accept Crawley, I will accept Lewes, but Woking has absolutely nothing to do with Sussex.

Errm....Radio Surrey surely.....?

Harty phoned up after the match and had a real go at Brezovan - justified ?

Listening to the radio he was to blame for the first goal, and on the match thread he was blamed for two of the goals (including that first one), probably not justified to single Brezovan out, but our goal keepers are always going to be subject to more criticism than perhaps they deserve. Much like Barnes, who I also thought he was needlessly criticising when criticising the line up.

Brighton and Hove Albion | News | Latest News | Latest News | Poyet: Learn Valuable Lessons

Gus Poyet says he and his players will learn from this afternoon's 6-0 defeat at West Ham United.

The Albion boss admitted that the heavy defeat was largely down to their own mistakes and has called for a big reaction to finish the season on a high.

Poyet told seagulls.co.uk, "I'm disappointed because we knew what West Ham were going to do. We were prepared and we talked about them, but we couldn't cope.

"They were always going to come at us and we knew that. We talked about what we could do to avoid that but we didn't do it. When you don't do your job you pay the price.

"We have nothing to complain about, but there is nothing to worry about either, it was just two very different approaches and two very different teams.

"I hope that everyone learns from that, because I learned a lot. I tried my best and I would probably have made different decisions if I had the chance again, but I'll learn from that.

"Now we have got to go out and try to win the three remaining games and that starts on Tuesday. There is no excuse either because we don't have any injuries.

"We cannot throw away an absolutely fantastic season because of a few bad games. We need to finish well, especially at home."

The Seagulls will be back in action at the Amex against Watford on Tuesday night and Poyet has encouraged his players to show their mental strength, to move on from the painful defeat.

"I like to correct and improve things on the training ground but you can't really improve at this time in the season. It's about keeping the players fresh and mentally prepared.

"We'll see what happens on Tuesday. We need to react, be up for the game and then implement the things that we know we can do.

"We need to be realistic and there was a difference between the two sets of players today. The West Ham players had lots of power, quality in their team and that's why most of their players have played in the Premier League. We only have one who has played at the top level.

"We tried to stop them and to keep the ball but it didn't work out for us. It's decisions and when it goes right its great but when it goes wrong it hurts."

and the 2nd part to my question?

Ok, I would say that our position in the table overall is very satisfactory and would have taken that at the start of the season. But we are not at the start of the season are we and 10 points in the last ten games, would point to the fact we have bottled it. That I can accept, as I can also accept defeat. But some of the decisions being made in the selection of the team and tactics defy belief. Especially away from home. From where we found ourselves ten games ago, regardless of our expectations at the start of the season. Poyet has f***ed it up good and proper.

K..ta for reply...and i don't necessarily disagree with all you say..buck does stop at poyet as it does with all managers...he is not unique in that..but i also think the players have to take there share of responsibility ...collectively not just individuals.

But it's not the players fault if they are simply not good enough, to play the system they are being asked to play. While the match winners sit on the bench or even at home or in the stands....Brezovan, Painter, Navarro, Dicker and yes Barnes on their day can just about play at this level. But if it's not there day they are woefully short. Good div 1 players, very average championship players and are team was full of them today.
