Thanks Grimsby - you are correct. I spoke with a new solicitor yesterday - Arscotts have appointed Engelharts to continue to act for their clients. He suggested I spoke with another estate agent (referred me to Elliots who happen to be a competitor of Goldin Lemcke) who was going to contact my ex-wife to arrange a valuation. I also spoke yesterday to Goldin Lemcke again who said this case had been a 'nightmare' from the beginning. The original valuation of £375k was competitive when made in November 2010 but it didn't come onto the market until April 2011 due to some administrative errors in the legal profession. The solicitor acting for me at the time had moved firms and the paperwork followed him to his new company. When he returned it to Arscotts and the contents of the valuations were agreed by myself the world had turned quite a few times.
