What's nice is that this isn't a new approach really, they have behaved similarly in the past with Dunk and Stephens. Difference this time is that it isn't normal clubs, like Fulham or Burnley that they are telling to stuff off, it's the mega rich, entitled fan base knobs.

It brings me great satisfaction to see all of the Arsenal and Chelsea 'fans' (most of whom have never set foot in London) on Facebook spitting their dummies out due to the fact that little old Brighton didn't roll over and get their tummy tickled by one of the big boys.

£75m bid turned down for a wantaway player, what a time this is to be an Albion fan.

This has been so high profile that it will certainly make other top 6 clubs and their awful entitled fans realise, if they didn’t already, that when we say a player isn’t for sale we mean it, unless they are prepared to pay absolutely ridiculous money.

On social media absolutely everyone was convinced we would cave in and sell. In future when bids come in a quick reminder of this situation will sharpen a few minds.
The crucial thing on this one was that the club stuck to their guns, irrespective of whatever sums of money were being bandied about. No meant No

This big play to keep Caceido would have been understandable if we had added some depth to the squad and made a real push for top six. We now seem to be relying on an 18 yr old Ferguson upfront with some cameo roles from sick note Welbeck. With Lallana’s track record of breaking down every few games it is a little surprising considering the full back situation that no one came in ready to play for the first team.
We are a good side when everyone’s fit not so good when a few are missing ie Arsenal & Leicester.
Totally get RDZ’s thinking to TB saying he needed more players.

I can never work out if you are genuinely a deeply negative person, an elite troll or just not very bright. Your key insight here is that the team is not as good when some of our best players are missing so why bother trying to hold on to one of our best players.

We're awash with good forward players, mainly untested yes, but so was Mitoma and Caicedo. We're awash with midfielders who should be looked at prior to buying in. Including the 9m Gilmore. The only position to worry about is left back.

Lallana and Caicedo were missing on Sunday and we knocked the current holders of the cup out.

I should thank them for helping make it 11/2 on Caicedo staying with us.

Now I can dream about what to spend the winnings on. What can you get for £50?
Wait five years and use it to buy a crocked Chelsea long-term-contract player.
