My dear old mum passed away in her sleep last night aged 75.

It’s because of mum that I’m such an avid Brighton fan, she went to Chelsea away on a bus from Brighton when she was 6 months pregnant with me.

She’s had health issues over the years but still a shock to get that call this morning, to say I’m in bits is an understatement.

Sorry for your loss. My father passed away last October. Seems only last week that he took me to my first BHA match in 1974. Our parents have left us with a great footballing legacy

Really sad news to hear, It would be good to think Albion's great performances against Chelsea were for her.
