A good start at the head coach would be to never mention it at all, and instead constantly talk about how mentally strong the team is, and how they are fighters. It's the oldest trick in the book and works on toddlers, let alone adults. If everybody talks about them being chokers, they're more likely to carry on being chokers.

Obviously it's our responsibility to counter it by referring to them as chokers and Spursy at every turn.
I think it’s just frustration and calling out the behaviours, what set him off was members of the existing staff and backroom team saying, within earshot of the players, that they’re essentially going to get battered in an upcoming game.

Personally, I’d make it more about “managing out” undesirables than trying to publicly shame them, but I think Ange is an emotional man and was probably - rightly - pissed off at the situation.

It’s a poisoned chalice because they truly are born to be Spursy

I feel a tiny bit sorry for Ange (and I don't agree with the fat-shaming – a cheap, needless dig) because he's the latest in a long line of Spuds managers who have flattered to deceive there. A bit like Manchester United, it can't ALL be down to the manager – not when both clubs have had a long succession of so-called successful managers before they've got there,

Having said that, his schtick about injuries and biting at journalists' questions is a bit silly – possibly part of the pressure getting to him. And it is quite funny seeing Spuds languish in the bottom half of the table and getting turned over by club they would deem themselves superior to.

Twats :lolol:

Hes a shit manager, he has also spent a lot of money

He is statistically the worse manager Spurs have had in the PL and he is an arrogant twat.

Conte/Jose/Mopo All managed not to be 14th in the league and given the relative spending at the time did OK - Well.

They also all had Harry Kane, who papered over a fair few cracks. Losing a 30-goal-a-season striker leaves a bit of a hole. Spurs replaced Kane with Solanke FFS. Hardly like for like.

But has a better midfield and defence than the previous managers

Defence alone

Porro/Udogie/VDV/Romero/Danso/Dragon/Spence v Dier/Sanchez/Sess/Davies/Tangana/Royal/Lenglet

Exactly, it’s certainly not all his doing and the fat jokes aren’t needed, but his constant biting and passive aggression means he doesn’t help himself.

I can’t be asked to fail at embedding again, but there’s a video doing the rounds of him having a pop at a fan for rightfully saying ‘what was that’

Agree the fat comment isn't necessary, and yes Spurs are habitually crap, but they're not usually this crap. His refusal to take set-pieces seriously, and his refusal to have a plan B, are unforgiveable. You can get away with a lot when managing Celtic, because there's no competition, but he's gone from the easiest league to the hardest and believed he wouldn't have to learn.

Ange is a poor manager but Spurs seem to be to be about ten years behind the successful teams in the way they operate. Their talisman now that Kane has gone is Son, and Son isn't the player he once was. It's rather like us relying on Lewis Dunk.

There's no proper planning at Spurs. I guarantee that Spurs won't even have considered who their next manager will be until the week comes that they do actually sack him.

Spurs are all fur coat and no knickers - the stadium is the coat.
