Could he do a job alongside Dean Wilkins? Shove the County League manager back to his chief scouting role whatever that is.
Even if it was only until another job came along....I feel that he could be useful?:albion:

Useful to whom? Why would Wendy want a reasonably successful Manager looking over his shoulder every five minutes. Any minor dissagreement would be seized on by his critics and blown out of all proportion, added to that it's hardly going to give Wendy a warm feeling that his job is safe. Finally, why would Ritchie want to move all the way down south (up rooting family etc) to be a bit part on buggerall wages.
Sorry but a very bad idea

Er why not?
Because he's crap.
Because we don't need him.
Because we probably can't afford him.
Because there's virtually no obvious benefit.
Because if the money was available, I'd rather it went on trying to secure someone like Whing permanently.
Because the last thing a promising but young manager needs is an old failure looking to push him out of the way at the first opportunity.

Only made what I thought was a sensible suggestion, don't wish to get personal, but think you have a problem with anyone expressing an opinion(not the first time you've given me shit). Surely the players budget is seperate to the management budget, and I was under the impression that we were on the lookout for someone to help Wilkins out....other than Chapman, who has his work cut out at Whitehawk...calm down!!!!!

Ritchie is hardly crap, he got Barnsley up on a shoestring but having said that, why would Deano need help ? He's doing pretty well so far. Leave well alone.

I'm really, truly sorry for disagreeing with someone's idea. I kind-of thought that was the point but obviously that's not the case.

So - Andy Ritchie would be brilliant for us. Anything other than hiring him would be a big mistake on the part of Dick Knight.

Some good reasons there apart from the first, there is no way Andy Ritchie is a crap manager. More that the Barnsley board are short-termist idiots.
