Awful last night. Not helped by his assistants.

It's the little things like the blatant push in the back near the half way line, right infront of both him and his assistant missed. Also seems to be very inconsistent with his awarding of yellow cards (this goes for both teams).

And don't get me started on...

Zaha had a go at Paints with the lino watching , nothing done. He got booked a few minutes later for a rash tackle but when he did the same in the 2nd half D'Urso realised he was already on a yellow and just gave him a telling off. It was Zaha who invited the foul by Dunky trying to get him sent off with his theatrics.

Didn't think he was that bad to be honest.

In previous derbies the ref has made it more about them and got very involved and that has revved up the fans and atmosphere. Compared to D'Urso's usual performance I felt this was an above average reffing display.

Considering how shit he usually is, I thought he had an ok game for him. The lino had a shocker missing that blatant penalty pictured above though. The score was 1-0 at they point as well.

No point in blaming the ref when we give such an inept performance

I think if you were being honest and rated the referee's performance out of 10, it would be higher than most of Brighton's players.

Ah, don't get me wrong, I am fully aware we were SHITHOUSE, and D'urso isn't the reason for the defeat, but that doesn't mean I can't assess his performance. Which, in my opinion, was incredible inconsistent.

I thought he made it hard for anyone to tackle after throwing cards around so readily early on.

I just think that referees hand out cards too readily when a word would do. This leaves them in a difficult position later. Dont know what current instructions to them are to be honest.

I was a bit concerned when I saw that D'urso was reffing but he wasnt to blame for the performance

It pisses me off when defenders dont defend properly from corners and referee's do nothing about it. Most of the palace players weren't even looking at the ball and were just concentrating on grabbing our players, yet the Officials did nothing. When penalties start being given for these kind of offences, people will stop doing it.

The shirt pulling thing irked me. He stopped a corner because he saw their player pulling Greer's shirt. The corner came in and Greer's shirt was again being pulled and he seemed to be watching it and doing nothing about it.

It seemed any time our players fell over they got nothing, except barnes who seemed to get one no matter how easily he fell over.

He was terribly inconsistant over the small things. Didn't cost us the game, I think even if we got a second from the penalty for shirt pulling we'd've still capitulated and lost.

What about the assault on Zaha which resulted in him landing on his head? He was fouled 7 times in total.

The challenge on Zaha that left him on his head wasn't really a bad challenge, it just looked bad because of the way he fell, but I do agree the ref was inconsistent for both sides.

Or the blatant dive that got Zaha booked? And when Mackerel-Smith did the same thing on Ramage minutes later, he didn't get booked?

The ref was shite for both sides.

Are you saying the palace player dived, too? I mean if our player dived to get Zahar booked, and CMS 'did the same thing', that must mean your player dived?

I'm pretty sure I mentioned to one of my firends the similarity in a challenge we made that went unpunished that was similar to a palace one that was called up, might have been the CMS/Zaha one. Or could have been any other moment that D'urso showed his inconistency.

There was a moment in the second half where our defence brought a palace player down on the wing and the ball rolled through to another palace player who was about to cut into the area, but D'urso blew his whistle. I could see the pain in his face as he realised he should have played the advantage. It was somewhat amusing.

Talking of Ramage, when he was substituted I think it was a turning point in the match. He was by far the worst player I've seen this season.

He's a centre back playing at Right Back. He's done ok this season, we're just waiting for Clyne to come back.

Parr, who replaced him is a young Norwegian International Left Winger/Left Back who they rate as high as Jon Arne Riise. We beat off Leeds, West Ham, Forest and a few others for his signature.

He's filled in at Right Back once or twice when needed this year but struggled. Yesterday he was effective.
