Why is it that I have to pay for all the BBC's new channels when I'm unable to receive them for 'free' in my area?

Why should I pay extra so that everyone else benefits!

Do we really need all these other stations? Would it not be better to improve BBC1 and 2 or (and this is a cRaZy idea) reduce the feckin TV licence!

Or in my view get rid of it completely!

Thanks for subsidising my ability to watch BBC THREE and BBC FOUR, and FIVE.

I just wanna know how my free-to-view box that looks like the runt out of Robot Wars gets every BBC station known to man, plus - gaspo! - C5, but doesn't pick up ITV, ITV2, C4 or E4 ???

Can you get Freeview?

The great thing is that FREEVIEW really has made it easy to enjoy more TV choice.
Boxes are compact and connect simply to your existing TV and aerial. You make just one payment from around £60 for your box and remember it's yours to keep.

Boxes are produced by a number of manufacturers and are available from a wide range of electrical retailers. We recommend that you ask your retailer that the box you decide to purchase allows you to receive interactive services.

Alternatively, if you're thinking of buying a new TV, you can now get a Digital TV from brands liks Philips, Panasonic, Sharp, Sony and Toshiba with a box already built-in. With everything integrated into one TV there's less wiring and only one remote and you can enjoy the full benefits of widescreen programmes. Ask your retailer about Digital TVs and other integrated products.

Probably because they're on a different MUX. E4 is actually a Top Up TV service, so you wouldn't be able to receive it without the necessary equipment (A CAM (your box may well not have one of these) and a TUTV card) or without paying for it.
