Hi all. Lovely holiday thanks. Now back to business.

NSC Sponsored Match vs Peterborough 17th April 2004.

Fabulous day out. Chance to support the team financially. Top seats below Directors Box. Nice meal in a Portacabin. Choose the MoM. Hob nob with the stars as long as they don't lose and go home in a strop like last time v Preston.

We really another 4 people to make this a goer, otherwise I think we may have to drop out this year. So if anyone out there wants a fantastic day out and has got £220 lying around, please send me a pm - or reply and I'll pm you.

Not until next April so loads of time to save up.

List so far: Lush, Ned Ludd, Yorkie, Seagullible, Lord B, roz, Superphil, Superwife, Manx Seagull, Andy Rogers, David Bingham, Seagull over Sevenoaks.

I had such a great time at the Preston match my husband is joining me this time to keep an eye on me.

Simster - I need the cash by 3pm on Saturday 17th April.

JBH - We meet for beers in The Sportsman from 12am - then go in at 1pm for a pretty good three course lunch with wine in the "Hospitality Portacabin". Last year, Dean Blackwell (injured) and Paul Rogers (too old) popped in to be quizzed by the NSC hordes.

We then take our seats in the row below the directors box and within easy shouting distance of Uncle Dick, Martin Perry, Steve Coppell (first half), Glenn Hoddle (watching Jake Robinson) and Barry Fry's wife.

We get tea and butties at half time and have a heated debate about who will be MoM. Yorkie's vote for OGH is then over-ruled.

After the match we will wander back to the hospitality suite, attempt to all get in the MoM photo for the programme and drunkenly accost any players, managers or celebrities that we recognise. We will then sing Barry Fry's special song.

It'll be great!!!!!!!

In a pile of football shirts
Superwife will only go if Kerry is guaranteed MOM and she gets a kiss off him!

And then down to Nelson for afters. Or, in my case, a nice sleep.

One of the best days at Withdean that it's possible to have.

If MP's "promise" that the new seats will be in place "in the new year", this might even mean that the new hospitality hut will also be ready in time for the Peterborough match. Or, alternatively, we might be room sharing with the Play Group.

This is the glamorous world of the Second Division, folks. A day DEFINITELY NOT TO BE MISSED.

Come and join us!

He was the MOM against Preston even though I wanted OGH !!

I had my photo taken with him and I did get a kiss.

We also spoke to Ivar Ingimarsson, Chris McPhee, Danny Marney and Paul Kitson. (He sprained his wrist signing my shirt  )

The NSC sponsored match is a wonderful, nay unforgettable, day and is a must for those who can afford it. The presence of big bad bouncing Barry Fry should make it even better.

Sadly, my ongoing fiscal crisis has been made worse by these driving lessons so I'll have to give it a miss. The fact that my driving instructor taught Peter Ward (nice, modest bloke, apparently, and, of course, the god-like one passed first time) is nothing but encouraging.

My current work contract is up for renewal. If it happens, I'll be stable enough to splash out...if there's still a place in three weeks time.

Can I put you down as a definite then - Chapman's The Saviour? And Gwylan as a possible definite? So that's one and a half takers?

Now all we need is another two people so that we can confirm with the club that North Stand Chat will be proud to sponsor the Preston game next April......
