I dont have an issue with the drugs or the porn and prostitution...more with the marauding groups of British males which blight Amsterdam. I think the ugliest sight in the world this side of an England crowd is the airport queue at the Amsterdam check-in. I've never seen so many mishapen people and clothes in my life. I've never seen so many holdalls in my life either. Yuk.

Good point. I went to Prague years ago though so not seen what it is like these days.

My beloved Berlin gets a hammering these days as well. Thankfully the ugly-crowd seem to restict themselves to Oranienburgerstrasse and venture little further and they have absolutely no chance of getting into any of the decent clubs.

The bird I went to last time I was there was STUNNING but wouldn't kiss me, no pearl necklace, wouldn't even let me TOUCH HER BOOBS and kept looking back at me when I was shafting her from behind saying "You gonna hurry up?". Then she nicked a load of change out my jeans when they were on the floor!

'Below the rivers' means the provinces of Zeeland, Brabant and Limburg, south of the Rhine and the Maas (I'm in Eindhoven). There is a genuine north-south divide. 'Up in Holland' they are protestant calvinist-influenced, which means they have to feel guilty about every time they enjoy themselves - but they also need to be SEEN to be fair and doing the right thing (hence their outward displays of tolerance). In reality they have little idea how to have a good time, in my opinion.

Down here it is more catholic-influenced (they call it the Burgundian lifestyle and it was once part of the Burgundy Habsburg empire). People go out and get pissed and don't give a f*ck what the neighbours think.

Of course the stuck up northerners all look down their noses at us and regard us all as retarded peasants ('Stomme boeren' - stupid farmers - is the official term I believe), but we don't care.
