Seconded. They usually give decent discount for block bookings too. Close enough to the "alternative entertainment" without actually being right in the middle. I could recomend a nice B&B, but if it's a large group of lads then it probably won't be suitable. I'd like to stay there again too!

Stayed in lots of different hotels and they are all pretty much the same.I would book in advance as you should get a better deal.
The trams are free anyway.

Until the last time there & they were well hot on it. You couldn't get on without going past the ticket booth.
It ended up cheaper to get a w/end pass @ the tram depot (to the left of C/station).

when I went on a stag do about 5 years ago the 18 of us stayed in a big Hostel place called the Globe, 24 hour bar, food for 13 hours a day, clean, dorms with bunk beds and seperate shower rooms etc, its 2 minutes walk from the central station and right in the centre of the city. it was about £15 a night from what little memory I have of the weekend !

We went recently and stayed in a Hotel called Arena. Not too pricey and has everything you need.

It also has a good nightclub on the premises which people from outside the hotel use so its dead handy from that respect and you are guaranteed entry whixch can be tricky if there a load of blokes in a group.

Stayed in the Kok Hotel once... was quite a bit out of the centre (near Vondelspark I think) but once the other half saw the hotel name ... it made it all worth while..
