I spoke to the ticket office yesterday and they hinted that the Forest game will probably be able to buy tickets on the gate. But then after the confusion at watford, is it worth taking the risk.

I am looking to buy away tickets for some non albion-fan friends who are coming to the forest game too, and my Away club forms duly arrived today, but they are asking for £10 sign-up fee!

I don't remember having to pay when I joined. When did this change?

to answer yoour question directly - No you can't join over the phone, you have to fill out a form (which has to be posted or collected to you and then back again- not via email or website!) and pay £10 fee. This is a one off payment, and does not have to be renewed each year.

had this problem for the reading game! they need names and address for every person going to away games. No way round it other than get them to sign up to AMS and ur a member for life or just get the tickets here in the ticket forum!

Good point. The concept that the AMS is a deterent to stop troublemakers is crap. It's never been any more than a paper exercise to appease the Falmer anti's prior to the enquiry. As a method of giving priority when tickets are likely to be in high demand, fair enough, it should be used. When it is clear that a game is going to be made pay on the day, why not let anyone buy tickets at the club shop if they so wish?
