Also did anyone use that computer shop under Churchill square near the old crappy Tesco's? That had to be the oddest place to put a shop. Computer shop was quite good if i remember rightly?

Remember it well - itr was a time when computer shops weren't the place to be seen!

I remember the whole reason for getting an Amiga was to play John Madden American Football and the reason I upgraded from a 500+ to a 1200 was so that I could play Sim City 2000 on it.

AMSTRAD ??

Weirdo.

Yeah I know, I'm pretty sure my Dad bought an Atari or Amiga but Simster or redneb didn't like it so he ended up trading it in for an AMSTRAD. It meant the difference between a GOOD childhood and a GREAT childhood.

Surprised there wasn't the legendary Neo Geo tucked in there for either of you!

Wasn't that hideously expensive? There was only so far my Christmas presents and pocket money could stretch.

On NSC for over two decades...
Fail:jester:

I actually bought it on my Iphone when it was cheap. I was disappointed when I didn't have to change one of the 15 floppy discs every scene:down:

It was the swapping of disks that prevented me from completing Beneath A Steel Sky on my Amiga... so I bought it again on a nice CD-ROM for the PC a couple of years later :) and what a good game, with some fantastic smutty one-liners!

There was also a Dan Dare game I remember playing but I think that may have been on the Spectrum - anyone else remember it?

Oh and PGA Golf which was the best ever until I discovered Golden Tee Golf.
