We as fans have zero no less than zero effect upon the comings and going’s of players, just one more game and I can largely switch NSC off for the summer and leave those that enjoy this type of self induced chaos

City will spend something, but they don't pay the over-inflated PL fees, they'll shop overseas.

Not always - Grealish, Nunes, Ake, Stones, Phillips.

I think City would be unlikely to be in for any of our players, bar possibly Van Hecke. Mitoma, although possibly the best first touch in world football, certainly hasn't got anywhere near the best last touch, and Baleba is a bit too raw and free-spirited to be suffocated by Guardiolas systems. João Pedro is just not at that level.

White, Cuckoo and Caicedo were only with us a relative 10 minutes in football terms, an entirely new phenomenon for us. Well since the days of Saunders and Beeney. All three had zero emotional tie to the support. For a club running the model to sell fairly swiftly for the right offer, Bmuff and Albion, imho the turn around time appears to be speeding up. Thankfully some other players such as Macca appear to share a bond with the fanbase and don’t promote a quick departure.
Yeah, but with those 3 the offers were ridiculous, what have we raised from those, £220m - I don't think that defines you as a selling club really when the money is part of some kind of silly season.

Why do you think it is speeding up? Not sure anyone has gone that quick since Cuck and Caic?

True, but their contributions have amounted to more than about three games, and we didn't jizz £11m to bring them in for 300 minutes of football.
300 minutes? Try 19 over 2 games. The lad seems like a great guy but it looks like the algorithm went a bit mental on that one. Seems way behind JP, Dunk, Webster and Igor in the pecking order and we could still add another CB in the summer if rumours are to be believed.

He's off on loan next season and the season after before signing for Middlesbrough or Leeds and becoming their PotS in the Championship

Yes exactly! 300 was a typo - I meant 30.

Well I think Pedro is the profitability sacrifice this summer so £50M will do.

Then certs to leave are;

Lamptey
Ferguson
Rushworth

The rest is up in the air but based on last night's evidence, if I were Liverpool, I would be looking to pair Van Dijk with Van Hecke so there may be some interest there...

He had his f***ing ankle smashed in his first game!! When he came back it looked for the world like he was limping. Only starting to get going now. As for anyone else, if we want to keep a player under contract, it’ll take a too-good-to-refuse offer like Caicedo to get them out. Not easy in a PSR environment.
For context, I've posted many other times about MOR, how I was gutted about the ankle injury, how he was the one summer signing I was most excited about and how I want him to succeed. As for limping when he came back. I'm pretty sure our medical team would not pass a player fit to return to first team action (after an op) who is carrying a limp. It's normal for a player, after a bad injury, to be hesitant in the physical side of the game for a while. I get that and also remember it took Solly a long, long time before he started putting his body fully on the line with crunching tackles again.

Hopefully he will settle, develop and shine next year, but if he does want away already (unproven) I stand by the view that this would be poor form from him. In addition, a certain Mr Gruda will keep him on the bench a lot in that 10 role with more sensational performances like last nights.
