Just watched Albion v Doncaster, 1997, on Seagulls World. Talk about moving

Never seen a recording of it. But after visiting Donny for the match last week, I dug out some old photos from that game and it had me quite emotional

Most emotional match ever for me, just remember leaving the ground about 1 hour after the final whistle not beliving what they were going to do to the place.

The fact that we'd spent 200+days on the bottom of the league, all the shit we'd put up with, last game at the Goldstone. Bloody hell, what a game. Shivers down the spine job.

Seagulls World's only got about two minutes footage, but it's brilliant all the same

Talking of old footage, I fished out a video the other day which I taped from Meridian Tonight & South Today for the "Fans United" game and the Doncaster match. They both bring a tear to your eye, especially the Doncaster match because throughout the whole report (about 3 mins) they played the song "Walkaway" by Cast which is a great song anyway but was very apt for the report. Even my Mum cried when it was originally broadcast and she never even went to the Goldstone.

THOSE B..STARDS TOOK AWAY OUR HERITAGE AND GAVE US NOTHING IN RETURN. I'LL NEVER FORGIVE STANLEY, ARCHER & BALLONEY.

I concentrate on the road ahead or glance towards Hove Park when I drive past the site. No way will I ever patronise any of the retail outlets built there, It is sacrilege to build something on top of a shrine.

That just choked me up in the office I remember that to tell you what as a big favour to everyone why not approach the insider and offer seagulls world a copy (get them to copy) your tape.
