Am I going mad, or is this normal ?

Newbury, Berkshire.
Watching BBC Breakfast this morning they had a piece on Peter Mandleson being appointed as the new EU Comissioner.

Imagine my horror when one of the politico's they chose to interview was Norman Baker, MP for Lewes.

Now instead of listening to what he had to say about Mandy, I found myself hurling expletives and foul language in the direction of Mr Bakers visage on my TV screen.

Is this a normal reaction to seeing him, or am I starting to lose it big time ?

Not at all, perfectly normal.

I really hope he comes round personally to canvas votes next year.

I will keep him talking whilst Ned goes to the upstairs window and empties a bucket of cold water on him.

If he comes to mine I'm gonna empty my bladder on him.

Perfectly normal behaviour. Not only was the arrogant little tosspot soiling my tele but he was in a studio in Brighton with a backdrop of the pier. Along with a few hand gestures, I too spat abuse at him and told him to f off back to Lewes

Absolutely natural, you have nothing to worry about.

Aside from the fact that he's a p***k who wants us to die, I do actually think he's quite a good MP. I emailed him about the stadium, and bearing in mind I was too young to vote at the time and didn't live in his constituency he did at least have the decency to reply to me. Contrast that with my own MP, Howard Flight who I have contacted on numerous occasions and not had so much as an acknowledgement from. Then again he's a Tory so why am I surprised?

He threw you a crumb to win a little sympathy.
Make him work harder for his friends.

The odd thing is if it wasn't for his objection to Falmer I think he'd be one of my favorite MPS, I agree with him on nearly everything else.

However his blind, unreasoned objection to Falmer overrides everything else in my book. No, your reaction was normal and justified, I'm afraid whenever I see the name 'Norman Baker MP' my head is filled with very unChristian thoughts, most of them involving a blunt knife and a flame-thrower.

My local MP (Labour) did actually reply to me - to say she was investigating the issue and would get back to me as soon as possible. That was nearly 6 months ago.

Without doubt Norman Baker is the best M.P. the Lewes constituency has ever had. I have written to him on several occasions and he has always replied within the week. I am sure he has only spoken out against the stadium to befriend his constituents in Falmer as they traditionally vote Tory. I have a letter from him somewhere in which he stated that he didn't feel strongly either way. He came to a couple of games in our first season at Withdean as a football fan, I spoke to him on the train home after one of them and he seemed quite impressed,he even agreed that we needed a bigger stadium.
I realise as an M.P. you need to be all things to all people, but he comes across as a descent bloke to me.

My local MP (Labour) did replied to me, signed EDM 889, and asked if there was any other way he could help. Such are the pleasures of a reasonably marginal seat.
