Through a couple of connections via my brother-in-law, I have access to 2 free tickets to Chelsea vs Fulham in the Premiership at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, March 20th. I'd be taking my 16 year-old nephew along (they don't want him to go up there without an adult, bless).

The dilemma is, the Albion are at home vs Colchester that day, and obviously, as a season ticket holder, I have a moral obligation to take up my natural position in the South Stand, Block D, Row N, seat 100 that day. The thing is, I find myself WANTING to go to that Chelsea game. I've not been to Stamford Bridge since it was redeveloped, and I'm ashamed to say that the Albions home match v Colchester is starting to look a little bit dispensible next to it. I'll be back for the next home match, I SWEAR. Chelsea mean nothing to me, honest.

I want to go to Chelsea. Just this once. Am I bad ?

You can go, as long as you make sure that your season ticket goes to an Albion fan, for free.

I would agree with that.

After all, you will be punished enough by the sheer boredom of watching Premiership football and find yourself longing to be at Withdean.

BAD. U'd rather see Chelski than the Albion? OMG!!
Oh come on, its just a one-off. I see the Albion 23 times a season at home, and probably about half a dozen away, and (don't get me wrong) I love it. I'm not suddenly going to convert, am I.

I can come back and report to you all how superficial and worthless it all is on the "other side". I think it could give me a valuable insight on it all. Would I get duffed up wearing the stripes, do you think ?

Go to the Chelsea game mate, no question. It's a one-off, a freebie and you're doing a good turn by your nephew. It's another ground as well, and a bloody good one at that.
Top man Safeway, that was my feeling on it.
I'll get you that pint back at the next greyhounds meet-up.

Whaddaya mean STARTING ?
I already feel guilty. And if I end up taking my seat at Stamford Bridge that afternoon, my thoughts will obviously be elsewhere.
Doubt if my faithful trannie (RADIO, RADIO) will pick up SCR from the depths of West London. Text messages and 5-Live will keep me in touch with the more important stuff at the athletics track.

I've got a Chelski season ticket and go occasionally (sell most), it's not that great I wouldn't get carried away, albion every time,The few times I've been to the bridge I get bored pretty easily.

What's the point in going to watch a team you don't support.
